Makes about 5 cups of mix.         

1 cup soybeans, uncooked
1 bay leaf
cup soy sauce
cup oil
tsp cayenne
tsp chili powder
tsp dry mustard
3 cloves garlic, minced

tsp ground cumin
tsp dill weed
tsp ground thyme

Soak the soybeans for 24 hours.

Cook (with a bay leaf) till done, about 2 hours. Remove the bay leaf.

Reserve about a half cup of cooked soybeans and chop them lightly. Blend the rest of the soybeans with the rest of the ingredients above. (Use a blender or use a Champion juicer with the blank inserted on the underside.) 

Place the blended mixture in a large bowl, and add the chopped soybeans to the blended mix for texture.

Mix  the following ingredients well, and then add them to the mix in the bowl.

cup dry millet, steamed
cup toasted rolled oats

    (Toast them lightly in the oven)
onion, chopped fine
grated carrot

To prepare the millet, add it to 1 cups boiling water and simmer till all the water is absorbed. Maybe 10-15 minutes.

Mix everything well.

2 eggs, beaten

Cheese slices

Add the beaten egg. (Optional, but it helps the burgers stick together.)

Form the mix into patties and fry in a little oil. After cooking on both sides, add a slice of cheese to the top and cook, covered, till the cheese melts. Serve on a plate or on toast, with lettuce, tomato slices, and ketchup.
